We encourage community participation at all levels, from corporate to individuals.

At Counterpoint, our culture of community includes the long-standing relationships we have built with our clients.

We have established our Four Pillars of Success and our Philosophies around the understanding that our vision for success is directly tied to the success, and values, of each client. We are active and enjoy participating in the industry at large. As members of BILD GTA, ICSC, and Home Builders Associations, we advocate for policy changes that strengthen the land development community.

The volunteering tradition is strong at Counterpoint. We support and participate in a number of initiatives with local not-for-profits and other organizations.

Each year, we get involved with Habitat for Humanity build days, Food Drives, Camp Oochigeas, The Sporting Life 10K, The Canadian Lung Association's tulip drives. We have a long history of involvement with United Way, and have funded a sustainability project through Queen's University. It doesn't stop there -- we encourage our employees to connect with the communities in which they live, and celebrate those who are active supporters of important causes and volunteer initiatives.

At Counterpoint, we believe that professional life should be about challenging conventional wisdom, enjoying the work you do each day and supporting your communities. We promote a culture of collegiality, integrity, collaboration, innovation and commitment.

Team Initiatives

We know that much of our success comes from our inclusive, community-driven culture. This means ensuring that all our employees are on the same page and share the same goals, regardless of location. To encourage this, Counterpoint has launched a number of company-wide initiatives that strengthen our community of employees, and allow us to perform better for our clients. Our monthly town halls bring everyone together to share news and enjoy a team lunch.

Twice each year, Counterpoint holds an offsite meeting where we openly share details about the company’s financial performance and everyone participates in the business planning direction for the upcoming year. These regular ‘6 Month Check-Ins’ provide inspiration and a road map to strive for excellence both individually and as a company. At the end of the day, we all leave with the same objectives for the coming six months, and a better understanding of our clients' businesses.

four-Year Training Program

Our four-year training program gives new grads the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project management, engineering design, and contract administration, and practical application in a collaborative environment.

At Counterpoint, we value a high level of commitment and accountability, where each team member is given the opportunity to take ownership for the work they do.
